A couple of months ago, I was talking with a customer about the Ed Gerhard model, and we were wondering how it might sound with a Myrtlewood back and sides. Not long after that conversation, this guitar arrived. And now I know. And I can highly recommend the combination!
The Breedlove J15 is a shallow-bodied Jumbo, with a soft cutaway. The top is of German Spruce, and as I mentioned, there's a beautiful Myrtlewood back/side set. These woods are complimented with a Master Class flamed Maple binding. A pair of swans adorn the Ebony fretboard, inlaid in Pearl.
This J15 offers a powerful, focused bass and a sweetly ringing treble. It's very versatile - it sounds great when strummed lightly, and there's plenty of headroom for heavier styles. It's also a sweet fingerstyler (as you might expect from a guitar that has so much in common with a Gerhard model.)
Breedlove took this instrument back into stock after it was returned by a dealer that got out of the business. Includes Breedlove/TKL Deluxe Hardshell case. Condition is mint. Includes a one year Breedlove Tried and True warranty.
